From early evening onwards, The Orchard comes alive with the crackling of campfires, the smell of sizzling sausages and the hum of chatter, laughter and the occasional guitar. Wickham Market is a small town with basic shopping facilities, pub, cafes and takeaways.

 

A few miles to the North is the historic market town of Framlingham, famous for its castle and typified by little alleys, pretty lanes and country shops.

 

To the south is the attractive riverside town of Woodbridge, which can be accessed by a riverside cycle ride or walk.

 

Slightly further afield are the coastal towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Felixstowe or a plentiful number of small inlets and rarely visited coastal villages and hamlets, such as Shingle Street.
